How to Play Spider Solitaire
Learn the rules of Spider Solitaire
Objective
Build 8 complete sequences of King down to Ace in the same suit. Completed sequences are automatically removed from the tableau.
The Layout
- Tableau — 10 columns of cards, some face-down
- Stock — deals one card to each column (10 cards per deal)
- No visible foundations — completed suits remove themselves
Moving Cards
- Build down by rank on the tableau (any suit, but only same-suit sequences can move together)
- Only same-suit sequences can be moved as a group
- Any card or sequence can fill an empty column
- Click the stock to deal one card to each column (all columns must have cards)
Tips & Strategy
- Try to build same-suit sequences whenever possible
- Empty columns are very valuable — use them strategically
- Avoid dealing from stock until you have no other moves
- 1 Suit is easiest, 4 Suits is the hardest challenge
